Cast Out

Posted on October 17, 2026 By Bryant Jacobi

Cast Out

Father Conrad sipped courage
to have the spirit
to expel the spirit
that tormented me
and through me battered
sore my family—
but his spirits so
led his rites astray,
the ill spirit instead
was cured of me.
Bewitched now I watch
what deeds I do
to those I loved
when I was I.
