Alchemical Inventions: Homunculus

Posted on October 17, 2026 By Bryant Jacobi

Alchemical Inventions: Homunculus

Let waste of creation ferment forty days
and see me, yet see through me
still. Fast forty weeks to feed me,
make me solid. What is your will?
I’m skilled in arts mundane and arcane
to generate songs, riches, servants, lovers, wisdom.
I’m all you need. I’m your world.

— Bryant Jacobi

Note on form: This is a form I call the splenetick: seven lines, seven words per line, content satirical.
