A Couple, or Just Two?
A hummingbird hangs
around the feeder, dips, sips;
a second drops by.
A couple, or just two birds?
They dart away together.
Now it’s getting dark
enough to seek moonflower
blossoms on the vines.
Just one peeks out under leaves.
Waxing gibbous moon above.
