This is where we&#8217;ll be posting our writings and art to share with the few souls who stumble across the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere is, first, the Literature of <em>Knowledge<\/em>; and, secondly, the Literature of <em>Power<\/em>. The function of the first is\u2014to <em>teach<\/em>; the function of the second is\u2014to <em>move<\/em>: the first is a rudder; the second, an oar or a sail. The first speaks to the <em>mere<\/em> discursive understanding; the second speaks ultimately, it may happen, to the higher understanding or reason, but always <em>through<\/em> affections of pleasure and sympathy.
