first hike near my new home (poem)

Posted on October 28, 2025 By sylvester hobson

first hike near my new home

old farmhouse, long abandoned,
rotting and vine-devoured.
in a dust-cleared spot
on the kitchen table,
caught in a drop of candle wax,
one long hair.
